Anybody use this style valve stem?

Just wondering if its better being short so sticks and things dont hit it??

my old ones were pretty stubby and it was a huge pain to air up the tires. the ones i have now are regular length and made of steel so they're tough.

For wheeling you're better off with the rubber valve stems. The metal ones will break if they hit something solid. The rubber ones at least have a chance to flex before they break.

ive used those on a set of aluminum rims i had cause they were all pitted. yeah they are kinda a pain to get air into but worked fine

I broke one off last time out wheeling, I put a rubber one in it's place and now carry spare rubbers.

I have ones similar to that but they have a 90 degree bend so its a little easier to air up with my beadlock rings installed

hmmmm 90 bend like on the big rigs, good idea. And I also see the point of rubber flexing instead of breaking. Thanks for the input.
