EDIT : POST #12 BELOW IS UPDATE .

Got a project going and need a van width 70" wms to wms axle .

Found this one local already pulled .

How much would you think is a fair price ?

Finding stuff like this up here in the rust belt is a lot harder and little rust is a bonus for sure .

Is the seller not offering up a price? Without any rebuilding or upgrades, only going for $2-300 in other parts of the world

There asking 225.00 for it . So seems like there on decent point .

Plan is to make a med width DRW axle . Swap brakes and hubs . Move brake plate mount to match .

C&C = 63.5"
SRW = 67.5"
VAN = 70"
DRW = 72"
MOD van to drw = 66"

I think I paid $150 for the semi float, and $275 for the d44 HP if that helps any. I think $225 is fair

Possible big change to budget beater truck . Service bed with a BIG tool on it . I dont want the wheels sucked in under it to far . But a 72" axle makes them stick out . But the mod-van axle idea will be just right . And i have all the DRW parts to make it work . And i have DRW 60 frt hubs .

Right on!
I got a van rear I’m saving for my 77.
225 seems like a good price.

That is cheap compared to around here...
The "popular" axles like the 10 bolts the later GM trucks seem to lunch fairly quickly are the ones you'll pay the most for,probably due to lack of many "good used ones"...seen some salvage yards want $600 + for a good low mileage one..

Bigger rear diffs out of dually's seen to sell quite a bit cheaper for some reason..maybe more of them available,they don't go bad all that often,a friend paid $300 for one for a GMC 1 ton dually of 2006 vintage,its rotors ,calipers were junk, and housing were really rusted though,tubes had some flaking and pitting,but it came from a low mile wreck that sat in a field a few years..hard to find anything "old" here thats not halfway back to becoming iron ore again..

paid $100 for my van rear. Last one was $100 too I think. Lantz's. Dunno what he's got there, haven't been in months. And closed on weekends now....

Vans never seem to pull like a srw does. But nowadays anything under 300 is good.

Torn down today to make sure axle housing is good for the build .

Had to pop studs in to drums to get driverside apart . Had water get in and ROT the brakes apart . Even the backing plate is junk . But thats o.k. as i am going DRW on it .

Pass side was much better. Prob save some parts .

Now to find a new set of the weld on hub centric brake backing plate mounts .
