Anyone ever had a problem with vapor lock not shure if thats what it is I have a 1980 stock 350 with the stock quadrajet only happens in the heat of summer 100 + deg the temp gagenever goes over half way. Every once a while but more offen the longer I drive throughout the day it will bogg out (no go when pushing on the peddle) even if its constant pressure or pushing to the floor I checked vacume lines they all seem to be good and the choke is ot closing dont know why it would has anyone living in hot weather ever had this problem and know how to fix it?

If you put a fuel filter with a return on it than you will have no problem at all. The pain in the ass part is that will require some plumbing.

Other than that the next best thing is to space the lines close to the block off of it and insulate them.

That being said are you sure its vapor lock? When something falls flat on its face from vapor lock it usually runs fine until the bowl starts drying up. The only way the fuel in the bowl is gonna dry up that fast is if your carb is getting heat soaked. In which case a thicker carb gasket may be in order. Not sure if your model truck is suppose to have the 1/4 or 3/8ths gasket underneath but perhaps someone switched it out to a regular paper gasket along the way?
