All parts are located in Norwich, CT 06360. Everything obo. Prefer pickup, shipping would probably kill the deal. Can work with buyer and set up delivery somewhere along Interstate 95 anywhere between Norwich, CT and Philadelphia, PA. All parts have been stored inside.

See my other posts for transmissions & transfer cases, adapters and shifters.

# 16 is turbo 400/205 with the 6-bolt round adapter crossmember. I have been looking for a skidplate for it. Can you try # 6 & 7 skidplate on # 16 crossmember ? If it fits would you sell it ?

Let me help you out with identification:

Number 6, 7, 8 and 9 are the '87 to '91 V-series 'member. They fit all the trucks.

Number 10, 11, 12 and 14 are the pre-'81 'members. They fit all of the trucks but the K30's.

Number 13 is the pre-'85 'member that fits the K30's only.

Number 15 is the earlier 1st design series 'member, mainly found under '73 to '77 trucks.

Number 16 is the '85 and '86 'member. Its a 2 year thing only.

phreddei166 - you can take #7 and #16 for $50 if you come pick them up. would rather sell them to someone that can use them instead of junk them.

thatk30guy - that is impressive.....

Take a picture of your "member" and I don't mean your pee pee either.

I have the "W" member. 400/205 6-bolt round adapter. Found a skid plate at the local boneyard that looked like it would work but it did not fit. It turned out to be for 208 or 241 TC. Do you think #6 or #7 skid plates would fit ?

Nope, 6 and 7 plates are different. You need the 2 year specific plate, an '85 or '86. They're flatter than the '87 and newer plates.

Let me copy and paste a thread I made on skidplates. You will be able to identify what you need a little better.

Your expertise in truck trivia is amazing ! Now tell me you have one for sale ! Thanks for all your knowledge.
My trans, transfer , crossmember came out of a 90 cab and chassis . Don't know if it was original. It worked and the price was right .

I've been buying and selling trucks and parts along with dismantling them and also assembling them, too, for the past 25 years. Along with that time frame and hands on experience comes the studying of all the parts to see what hits and fits. So I guess one could call me a walking encyclopedia of the GM trucks of the '73-'87 era.

And no, I don't have any 'plates to sell at the moment. I do have a bunch of them but don't want to part with them yet. If you post up in the wanted forums, just ask for an '85 or '86 'plate and show a pic so someone can verify theirs. Easy enough.
