does anyone know what type of prep work needs to be done for a vehicle wrap? i'm currently in the process of stripping the ****ty old GM paint/primer off of my suburban and spraying new primer onto it for now. can a wrap be applied over a primered surface or does it need to be a sealed surface like paint/clearcoat? a wrap can be applied right in my driveway with no need to get the truck to a paint shop or anything, a good friend of mine does them. he just doesn't know if they can be applied to a primered surface.

not only does it need paint, but the paint needs to cure for 30-60 days...a primered surface is too porous and can trap moisture between the wrap and metal.

paint

and min 60 days for all chemicals to vent out and full cure on paint job.

also no wax for min 60 days on fresh paint.

and if stickers or wraps no wax at all and our oils .
