I would not use them on a trail rig, they onlt use a 7/16 bolt. a larger bolt cant really be used the way they are designed. I have a set for my crew cab. that is what thay are for is to minimize the freeway hop you get with long wheel based trucks. they were not designed for trail use. there not stout enough for that.

I am not planning to use them off road...

I am planning to use them on my daily driver 3/4 Sub with 1 ton springs that I will be using to tow my other Sub. I am installing airbags along with the 1 ton springs for hauling, but when I am driving around town I would like the soft ride provided by the velvets.

Could you perhaps tell me where you purchased yours?

And do you use them with a shackle flip, or in the original position?

I wouldnt think it would make any difference on a shackle flip because they are meant to be pulled on not compressed. just my two cents.
