Vendor Idea - Cup Holder

These look like a great idea, and shouldn't be too involved. Of course i can't work on one right now.

Lightning hit our house 2 weeks ago. Sitting in recliner with my laptop and the charger cord lit me up! Knocked out about half the circuits, blew two receptacles out of the wall, ac, light bulbs, computers , battery charger, LAWN MOWER ( hooked up to trickle charger), welder, tv, washer, etc. At least nothing caught on fire.

So, couldn't the boot bezel ring be used as a template?

I like the layout of using the tcase shifter with the cup holders “inboard”(towards the center of the tunnel) and at the rear (closer to the seat). My issue is that I don’t have a factory shifter so my measurements would be different but probably compatible to a 208 shifter size base.

I’ve been trying to find the diameter of a 20 oz Disani water bottle thinking that would be a “big” regular type bottle but I can’t find it.

go buy one, measure it and then drink it.

I usually reference off the larger Gatorade bottles. My memory says 3-1/2" to 3-3/4". You would probably be safe with 4".

You know the more conscientious thing to do would be to ditch the single use bottles and get a reusable bottle. Then you make the holder to suit. :deal:

Are you getting a cup holder for your Suburban?

I've got a harbor freight magnetic one stuck to the jump seat frame thank you very much :rotfl:
I might buy one of those you posted for the green truck tho

Believe I got this from CK5GUY.com. Very well made and looks factory. Gives detailed instructions on how to cut out seat belt holders and ashtray.

If a stainless steel tumbler fits most other drinks will. Big Boss/Ozark Trail/Yeti/most generics are all the same size. I can measure if you want.

Unrelated, but just saw this on a truck just posted for sale on BaT. Interesting idea to do a cup holder and 2 gauges. Not attached to bezel, looks to be separate.

Clever. My girlfriend has a Chevelle. She doesn't want a dash mounted or steering column mounted tachometer. I bought this cup holder on Amazon. Came with two. It's got a lot of adjustability. Large suction cup sticks pretty good.

What would be sweet is cup holders on 1 side of bezel, and fire extinguisher mount on the other side. I need both
