Hello and this is my first post. I'm only a couple days into ownership of my '88 K5, but loving it. Unfortunately I broke the drivers side vent glass trying to get it open. Doesn't look the vents have been opened in years. I've watched several videos where someone removes the entire assembly, but haven't found one with the glass replacement. I'm interested in removing the glass from the metal channel and installing new glass in the existing assembly. I have found the glass online and there are a couple local junk yards looking around for the glass. Thanks again and I appreciate the help!

The glass is kind of glued into the metal frame. I don't believe that there is actual glue, but the material that is in there holds well. Honestly, the easiest way to remove the glass is to break it and then dig the remaining pieces out of the channel. However you would want to be sure of the quality of the replacement glass. I have pulled the frame off of some from a '72, which are flat, but it took time to avoid bending the frame.
