Trying to finish up my 1-ton conversion, been so long since I scrapped my original axles, I can't remember how the stock axles were vented...I mean, I know there was the tubing coming from the axle and attached up high to keep it out of the muck, but my 1-ton axles only have a hole in the top... is there some sort of fitting that goes in there to attach the tubing to? surely its not just mashed down in the hole

Stock there was a nipple fitting that was presses into that hole. Unless you can find a good one to press back in there (and if the hole is wobbled out egg shaped). Or you can get yourself a screw in air fitting that will fit the hole. Which will mean that you'll have to pull the cover to be able to run a tap down that hole to cut some threads.

hope I can find one....I see what you're talking about though..the 14bolt actually has one on there, I just didn't notice it at first
