Well, there i am, sitting at a stop light behind a truck pulling a trailer, the one's made out of old truck rear ends, and as it pulls away, i count 1, 2, 3....14 bolts on the diff. cover!! On a trailer!! 'twas very upsetting.

uh-oh

I saw a couple of trailers today with 14ff's under them. I guess you can do that when you have more axles then you know what to do with. :)

That doesn't mean that they've got ring and pinion sets on them.

I know of a truck that will be a trailer soon that has a 14 bolt semi floater.

nope, didn't follow him home. most guys around here don't bother taking anything out of the axles, just chop & go.

uh-oh

sure that ring and pinion keep the lube flinging around to lube the bearings.......
Mrivan.........
ford people use carb cleaner on their salads........

Ask him if you can swap the rear off his trailer with the rear of your truck!!!!!!

Here's mine with a 14FF 4.10's. This or my crewcabs' 14FF will go under my K5 and the trailer will get the 10 bolt.

around here 14 bolts ar as common as the day is long. Not counting my new ones, I have 2 with disc brakes, and 4 without. One is in a wood trailer pickup bed that I picked up complete with a new tongue and drove it home for $150. I have had it for 3 years now and I still havent pulled the cover to wee what the gears are.

IT'S A 1 TON THING.... IF I HAVE TO EXPLAIN IT, YOU WOULDN'T UNDERSTAND!!!
