I found a better one for less money, but it's sold. I think I'm going to go for this look on mine when its done.

So I will need:
new bumpers, lights, grille
new trim for the sides (minus the wheelwells, as pictured)
4" lift kit, 35s, 4.10's -might as well start looking for axles...
15 or 16x10 rims
slider windows
+ a new interior..

pricey wishlist it is... :doah:

and... I'll need another vehicle to drive so can do all this!

Holy Crap that thing is clean. Pricey but you would'nt have to do any body work or interior work. It would be a shame to turn into a wheeler. :eek1:

If anyone buys it, they should do what Craig Artzner is doing to his, keep it just like that. Unmodified K5's are becoming rare.

I have a 91 as well. Black with tan interior and all power options including the same mirrors. 80k original miles. Now for the bad news. I managed to smash the drivers side mirror and dented the drivers door plowing out from the last big snow storm we had here in New England. Finding a replacement mirror is going to be a real bitch. I may have to attempt to epoxy it back together to get by until I find one. It is currently held together with duct tape but atleast its black so it blends in somewhat. Plowing without mirrors sucks. I would post a picture but in it's current state it would only depress me.

I can't put my finger on what it is, but something bothers me about this one... I know things always look better in pictures, but it just doesn't seem to compare to a few of the other all original trucks on here. If he sells it for anywhere near the asking price I'm listing mine for sale!!! Also, I used to work for a new car dealer, and a good auto detailer can polish a turd, and I guess this reminds me of what they used to do with some older, but nice trade-ins... We would have traded that in for $1500 to $2500( you will NEVER actually get more than "fair" value for a trade in), sent it over to the paint shop, and then the detailer. Except we would have done a better job on the engine bay and undercarriage, cleaned up those wheels and tires and tried to sell it for $5k to $6k. Nice truck? Yes, if the mileage checks out... $9k truck? Not in my opinion.

I'm question the stock-ness (my word:D) of those mirrors? Something don't look right.

Those are original factory power mirrors. Same as I have on my 1991 Suburban and many others have on their 1991's. I don't think they were an option prior to 1991, then in 1992 they changed the body style.

As far as those mirrors, I think someone said they come on the vans too, so that may help replace it.

But yeah, that truck is too expensive!

i just couldnt hold it in.:D
:haha::haha:

Yeah id say its priced a bit high! I paid 8K for my 89 in the same condition 10 years ago. I am the second owner. Its clean, but you could pick up an 89-91 for a third of that price and make it just as clean for much less.

Something I learned with mine. It was a Nothwest truck garaged its whole life as far as I could tell. The paint was immaculate not like most late 80's GMs. I moved to NV then central CA. The sun literally aged my paint 20 years in a matter of about 5 years. I washed and waxed it regularly, but nothing helped.
