i started replacing the water pump on the church's suburban (it's an 87?), and got it all off to find out that the replacement i have is not the right one - it has the bypass on it, where as this suburban doesn't call for one with a bypass. the parts store is closed today. anyway, i need to park it so i can close my garage doors.
can i turn the truck on, with water pump missing, fan, fan belt pulley and belt all off and back it up a few feet so i can close my doors?
seems to me that it wouldn't be a problem. i have to parallel park it along the fence next to the garage, so it's not as simple as putting it in neutral and pushing it back.
