Just thought I would post up my experience. I developed a vibration around 2500 RPM and I could not figure it out. Well I was under the hood while the engine was running one day and noticed a noise that sounded like rocks were in my engine. 
I looked at the water pump and the pulley is moving in an eliptical orbit so I shut her down and low and behold I can move the water pump shaft about 1/4 inch up and down and all around. Well I got a new pump and Roz and I changed it out on Friday. Wouldn't you know the sound of rocks went away and you can barely tell the thing is running now. And as a Bonus the Vibration went away. All the way to 4500 and not even a hint of vibration, the gas gauge moved but now vibration 
. Just thought I would post this I know someone else not that long ago had a vibration issue also.
