This is starting to piss me off. The angles are fine and everything else has been checked. It starts about 55 mph and I can't drive through it. I want to be able to rule out the tires so tomorrow I am going to put it on stands and run the speed up and see if I can figure this out. I am not sure if this is going to work or not but I think it is worth a shot. The only other thing I can think of that is causing it is the driveshaft not being far enough in the t case. Here is a list of what is done,
Dropped the case 1 1/2"s
New trans mount
new u-joints
angles checked and I had to shim the pinion down to make them match

Any other ideas? Like I said the only other thing I can think of is tires and driveshaft.

Sorry wayne... kinda forgot exactly where we are at... did you saythe vibe is only on the gas and through the floor or seat? Do you have the frt driveshaft hooked up?

I would just put the stock tires back on and drive it. That should let you know if it is a tiore or wheel balance problem

Ive been fighting a vibration around 65mph to 75 mph the entire time ive owned my Burb. Always thought it was coming from rear of truck.....got new front tires today and the vibration has dissapeared. Besides the rear 14FF, my truck is stock with 4.10's and 31" tires. If you have any other tires on rims, switch them out an axle at a time then test drive to see what happens. Hope this helps. (Ballancing my old tires did not help vibration either way)

Vib is both on and off the gas. Front shaft is in but it also did it when it was out. Can't put the stock tires on because I don't think the 6 lug wheels will fit my 8 lug axles.

I don't want to put a new shaft in because I am converting to a 400/205 very soon and really don't want to do shafts twice. If it is on stands and does not vibrate I would say it is the tires but there will be no drag on the drivetrain either but I think if it is the shaft it should vibrate no matter what.

Did you have the tires balanced before you installed them? Are these radials or bias? Also take a look at the tread and make sure the belts have not shifted or stretched, if some of the lugs are higher then others this can be a problem. One more thing isn't your t-case dropped a little to low!? I thought that 1" was considered the maximum to drop it???

35" SSR's. I was thinking the same thing on the case. Tires seem fine. I think I only put about 60 miles on them since they have been on. BTW Steve's UAV has the t case dropped 1 3/4" with the stock shaft.

I had a brand new F-150 years ago that had a vibration that came and went at highway speeds. After Ford replaced nearly everything inside the rear end, they finally figured out that the splines in the driveshaft had too much slop. They installed a new driveshaft and the vibration was finally gone.

My T-case is dropped 1 1/2" without any ill effects.
I wonder if you swapped the front tires onto the rear and see if it changes anything.
I assume you have checked and rechecked your u-joints...
Have you pulled the rear shaft off and run it in front wheel drive to see if the vibe is still there... Guess if you get it under accell or deccell, it wouldnt be there...
How did you set up your pinion angles? I talked to a guy and he told me to take an angle guage, stick it on the trans case, read the angle, then stick it to the rear diff near the pinion and set the rear to the same angle...
Do you know anyone nearby that you can swap rear shafts with for a test run?
Is your rear u-joint takin a beatin?? Eg: are you wearing thru them fast?

Check for play on your rear output shaft. The bearing in the tailstock of your transfercase will cause this. Took me a lot of screwing around until I made this great revalation.

Wayne! you have the 241 slip yoke style T-case adn once you put the 14 botl in with the lift and all the angles shims you've installed, it SOUNDS like your shaft is too short.
You should have "about" 1 and 1/2 (at most) inch of yoke shaft showing between the yoke and the seal at the t-case when sitting on level ground. Anything more than this with worn slip yoke slines will cause a vibration. Some like Emmetttology101 say they have had the slip yoke almost all the way out and have had no problems but every truck is different.
