Vic Hickey 1969 K5 Baja Race Blazer recreation build

Just stumbled across this thread for the first time. Just wondering if you have an update. I would suspect when all the dust settles, there might be a number of people interested in some fiberglass fenders. Keep up the good work!

at the pace he's going, that'll be never....how do you find time to sleep.

yeah, months do not go by without you not checking your email. Especially since he is posting on other forums. Hopefully it gets returned to you. Let me know if my more interesting internets skills can be of further assistance. Its nice to help other people out in our community and you never think another enthusiast would burn you. Until he posts up with an explaination and appology, I call B.S. its not like it seems he is someone with out the means to pop a cover and ship one to you and your original back judging by the pics.

I once got burned by letting a guy who had been on the boards for a few years borrow a set of wheels (a nice rare set of wheels made by ATS in Germany) to bolt on his Rabbit while he got another set of rare wheels sent out for polish and paint. Months went by and he kept telling me he would get them back to me. Finally after hassling for a good 8 months, he disappeared and so did my wheels never to be heard from again, he also owned a CJ7.............

I thought I saw another thread started by him recently? Had a bunch of pictures in it with the "boot" race car or did someone else start that thread?

I've been off for quite a while but here it is I sent $400 for a pair of his front prerunner fenders shown on this thread a couple pages back and have gotten nothing in return. I have sent numerous emails, talked to him on the phone and he has come up with a new story every time. First it was that he had them wrapped up but one of his employees never shiped them. Then he was in mexico and the same employee screwed up again. Then he was going to personally bring them down to deliver them but somehow never called me to let me know when he was coming. The last was that he had supposedly shipped them and insured them but he never could produce a tracking # he would always tell me he would get it in the next hour or so when he got home. I would even call him back later when I had not heard from him to remind him but then I would just get the voice mail. I started just leaving messages for him to please just send back my money or something as I am at a dead end. I should have elevated this sooner but life gets busy sometimes, now I'm moving soon. I've been dealing with this for 9 months. I guess I should ramp up my efforts to try and pressure him. I've found him on probably 6 other forums I should go and start joining them and call him out. It just brings me down every time I get thinking about it. Sorry for the rant and I too will delete my post if this is ever resolved.

this really sucks. IF indeed this is a scammer, I would think there would be ways to put an end to it. The power of the mouse is enormous these days.

eh, apparently this guy doesn't think so... he's more important than us intraweb people...
