VIDEO!!! - You know you have a lot of soft rear end travel when...

I'm sure I'd get my fair share of fix-it tickets if spotted doing that by a cop. Most just check the truck out when they pull up next to me , and smile. I just finished lowering and fab'n up a set of 4-wheel air bags on a 69 VW squareback. With a good compressor and a 15 gallon tank we could bounce it. It rides good on just air and shocks!

Bob saw me bounce the truck today, like a bucking bull it jumps front to back hopping each end. That was worth video but we were running out of light. It looks hillerious.. got to love one ton gear where you can really beat the truck up!

Just a bit of anti-squat would you say /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif
My truck did just the opposit before the shackle flip. The rear of the truck would lower almost a foot when trying to power break it. Now after the 4" shackle flip it stays about level only dipping a bit when power breaking (under actual acceleration it dips down leading me to suspect that I had negative anti-squat before and next to none now).

Sweet!! At the same time a little scary!!! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I guess im the only one here that cant download your video. What is a WMV file ? and what do i gotta do to DL and open it. If i left click, it opens a page of computer speak, if i right click and do a save as, it says its a text file. /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif

Heck NO!!! I want that !!! you know why? Cause in NYC,e veryone rides on your ASS. Anyone riding on my ass at the next light, I'd just raise my butt up like that, wait until they pull up under neath it, and then Drop it down!!!

"Oh, Im sorry sir.. did you just rear end me?"

In NYC, all hits from behind are the fault of the car.. behind. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

Loved the video man /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif
That was awesome...

My whole body just leans to one side really bad...never lifted a tire though...

That was just wild!

If your player is not up to date, it may not recognise the .wmv extension (version 7.0 and up). Something may have disassociated the extension as well, so open the saved one with the player so the browser doesn't try and display it for you in garbled text.

Re: You know you have a lot of soft rear end travel when...

man your nuts.you had it about a foot off the ground on the last one.what's the most you had it off the ground?

I emailed it to you - give that a try. I think your ISP is using a caching device which is screwing with the mime type before you download it.

Re: You know you have a lot of soft rear end travel when...

I'm not sure just how high it gets, I'm inside the truck. I can only go by what others say or hold their hands up as I drive by. I had one time where I though the truck was going over but it stopped on that cushion of the rear overload leaf (whew!). I'm sure that was a high one!

Re: You know you have a lot of soft rear end travel when...

Now you need too get the front to flex as well as the rear. That would be a wheeling wet dream.

Tori,

If you're still feeling left out and can't get it to work let me know before Friday, and I'll burn a copy onto CD-R and deliver it to you on Saturday!!!

Bling Bling.....HAHAHAHA, man yer killin' me!

Thanks for the offer dude, but Mike too care of my sorry ass. He emailed me the file directly and it worked that way. I think its a problem with Compuserve. Anyway, see you tomorrow.

Re: You know you have a lot of soft rear end travel when...

I keep contemplating putting the ford 57's on the front but didn't want to do it without cross over steering. I just finished fab'n up the cross over arm for my Dana60 and now I'm working on a design to keep the sway bar functional for street. That was the last obstacle so it may happen! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
