Took the 4by out on Saturday for a cruise and happened to see a string of Jeeps! Jumped in behind and followed to see what they were up to. Finally arriving at an animal shelter. They were bringing food and supplies their club had raised money to get for one of these heart felt causes. This group was incredibly nice and inviting calling themselves New Braunfels trail team 6. After talking with them I had asked about any four wheel events going on? That's when they told me about Viking adventures. It was an event upwards of 200 Jeeps. And only one. K5 Blazer. The owners put lots of hard work into making this very fun. Trail events, handing out candy for the kids, people hanging out and sharing idea's, stories. Taking people for rides. I had never ridin in a Jeep before. I was very impressed by there capabilities and ride improvement over 50 years. They had a night trail with parking light on only. Haunted with zombies and horror scenes. Little kids were crying. Scary. Then a big screen movie. Great time. Going out with our KC's on we saw what we had driven through! Now I realized how scary it really was! After we aired the tires back up for the hour drive home, Kat and I had a problem. The K5 would no come out of 4 wheel low. Jeff from Duck Duck Jeep stopped to help. He could have left us jambed up. Wether it's his military background, Texan, Four wheeler, or character, he and Team 6 were honorable folks and thankfully I had the pleasure to meet them. They opened my mind to the Jeep community and they truly represent what the hobby is all about. Getting together outdoors with like-minded people from all backgrounds, being charitable, open minded, and leaving no one behind. God bless every American who enjoys getting people together.
