VIN numbers

Depends on how early your talking about. On my 75 there is 1 on the b pillar, 1 on the dash and 1 on the frame. I think on the older ones (older than 75 at least) there wasn't 1 on the dash but still on the frame and b pillar.

On the frame its going to be on the top of the frame rail. Where its going to be /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif GM put them on all over the place from what I've seen, but typically its on the top side of the frame rail in the engine compartment somewhere.

my 77 blazer was dash, b piller and the frame was stamped on the passangerside by the transfer case (outside of frame) and on the body mount crossmember behind the transfercase on the top.

The first generation K5's I had put the numbers on the sticker on the glove box door, and on the drivers side door jamb, near the striker bolt,a metal tag is riveted on there.I have seen the sticker that is usually on the glove box located on the drivers side inner fenderwell under the hood too.The frame has numbers too,on the passenger side rail about halfway back--none of mine matched the vin--and supposedly the trucks were unmolested originals--never figured that out! /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif/forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
