the first three numbers/letters in my vin are 1GK......the truck is an 87'. The one stands for the U.S., but according to all the searching (the rest of the numbers/letters make sense) i have done the second numerials should be a GC (Chevy) or a GT (GMC).........so wtf is the GK stand for:confused:

thanks in advanced for any insite to this:bow:

i dont know man mine goes 1GN but i do know that my blazer was special orderd from the factory in 89 but all my books show GT or GC so i have know idea never noticed until you brought it up. maybe someone will know id like to myself.

the moter was orderd with no smog only cats, loaded inside ,and lim slip front and rear, never asked my cuz what all they asked for when it was new i wanted it since i was little and bout it at 19, but everyone who rides in it say's it has alot more power than others thay've road in but dont know maybe there just being nice. but it was orderd not bought off a lot so maybe thats why the vin is like that . ?

I have some notes that say other possibilities include:

1G8 for Blazers/Jimmies
1GA for vans ("bus"?)

and

1GB for "incomplete vehicle" (van for RV conversion, maybe?)

Can you post up your entire VIN, or at least all but the last six numbers?
