VIN

I've been told there is a second place that I can find my VIN on my 77 Blazer. I need to know where this is b/c the originally plate has been tampered with and I wanna know if my Blazer was stolen or anything due to the fact that I just bought it. If anyone knows where I can find this second VIN stamping please post. Thanks in advance.

I found one on my '73 on the top left side of the frame, right in front of the firewall.

Yes, check on top of the frame, either where the steering box is bolted up (this area) or opposite frame rail, same location. Later ones ('81 up, and not sure if all are this way or not) have the partial VIN on the drivers frame rail, on teh top, about mid way back. Need a dentists mirror and patience to get to it.
