I pulled up some of the floor mat in my m1009 the other day and found the insulation to be soaking wet. I have since removed all the insulation and rubber matting from the floor. I don't want a bare steel floor and carpeting in a military vehicle would be blasphemy.

I did a little searching and it seems most people dont care much for the mip mat that LMC sells and for $160 (I only want to do the front half for now) it doesnt include any insulation which would cost another $60. So what are my options here? I'm trying to do this fairly cheap so Linex is out of the question. Has anyone laid down insulation and then rolled herculiner over it?

I really like my rubber truck bedmat, I think it works freakin awesome.... downside being, you have to leave the trans tunnel exposed.... pulls out easy for rinsing, scrubs up nice, etc... grippy... big rectangle universals are like $70.... it's a couple feet shy of doing the whole floor...

i originally had carpet/insulation and my interrior done back in the 90's and was gonna paint the outside..but liking mud like i do... ruined the carpet... so now i run nothing.. i thought of rubber mats but dont want the water under it.. im thinking of either rhino lining or just painting it the color im gonna do the truck.... but there will be no matt for me..

I'd like to LineX and rubber mat my entire floor. LineX my plywood rear panels too.
There have been several happy endings with LMC's rubber mats. If done right, they should work well. If you are on a budget (like most) hurculine the entire floor and then go with some rubber, even cut up pieces to fit, anything to keep it quiet.

well as far as carpet floor mats are concerned i would still go for Avery products. a friend of mine recommended them to me and i tried them out and they work great. no complaints about it. they even have stain resistant ones.

I think that you might try to find other brands or kinds of mats in order to make things different on your vehicle. Brands such as fanmats would definitely compensate all the things that you wanted and to customize it.

I tried the LMC rubber flooring. I did not have any success with it. Mainly in trying to fit it and cut it , doing it solo is hard. If you decide to go with the LMC mat, lay it out on a hot day on the pavement, get it pliable and have an extra set of hands. Measure twice cut once.

I ended up yanking the orginial carpet and went with LMC rubber flooring and then when I wasnt happy with that. I yanked that out and Line Xd my interior. I have some industrial rubber mats that I cut to use as floor mats, these rubber mats are like 1/2" thick with holes in it. Works out great.

those that were unhappy with the LMC rubber mat....exactly what truck is this on? Cause flooring is way different between blazers, light trucks, dual gas tank trucks etc. Those extra humps would certainly bring the suck.

Herculine it. I had it in my old K5 and plan on doing it in my new one eventually. I loved it and you never have to worry about getting mud or snow or anything in there.
