Looking to explore the idea of some sort of safety inspections for BB11. I'm going to need some volunteers to head things up so post up or PM if you're interested. Just a warning though; the pay sucks, the hours are horrible, and the coffee is always burnt....

I can always help out.
I think trail leaders should be doing this.
I agree to an extent. The hope here is to provide an opportunity for people to have time to get potential issues handled in time so they don't miss a trail run just because of a loose bolt or something silly that could be easily fixed in the Napa parking lot but would be a huge issue if it broke on the trail. It also underscores the importance of coming prepared.

I would be willing to help with this. You need to post up a list of what is going to be required though so people have time to get ready.

My plan is to get the list of trails hashed out by the end of April and then get registration open soon after that. Then we will make sure the requirements are included with the registration verification. This should give people plenty of time to be prepared.

Plus they will be posted here, on the website, on Facebook, and the forum we have on ChevyK5Blazer.com. And any other place I can think of.

I'm in if you need me and I can get there this year!
I'm certain we'll need your help for trail leading at the very least. Therefore your attendance is mandatory.....

:waytogo: I'll be there! May have to quit my job to get the time off...but I don't wanna miss another BB!

I totally agree....a lot of us are going to be coming a long way.....and don't want to be banned from running a trail because of some small issue or because the tech guy doesn't like the way something "looks"

a clear list of items that will get you tossed needs to be adhered to....

I think most people that make the trip, will pre-trip their rigs for potential problems...but a clear cut list of no-no's would be nice upfront...:waytogo:

Yes, we definitely will not be ambushing anyone with the inspections. At this point we will probably only require them for specific trails and otherwise it will be an optional thing for the driver's piece of mind.

:thumb: Like pritchett and trifecta. All other trails should be fine with no inspection.
