I'm needing to make a Chevy Vortec 350 (1996-1999) fit in a K5 Blazer. My question is this. Is there an easy way to wire it so I don't have a bunch needless wire going everywhere? I just need the damn thing to run. My thoughts are it would need power, ground, o2 sensors, and maybe something else I'm forgetting. Anyone does a swap like this before?

If you don't want to deal with wiring, put a carb on it and call it done. GM does not add anything extra to their engines that isn't beneficial in some way. Sure, you can remove some of the emissions systems (EGR, rear O2 sensors, EVAP, fuel tank pressure) but that realistically removes 10 - 15 wires in total.

Your engine simply won't run right if you get rid of anything other than emissions equipment, including the VSS

Yeup, do away with the problem ridden OBDII system on those engines, run a carb. Less headaches, more reliable, and cheaper!
