1/2 ton status
if true 85 trans parts its 32 spline and hydro clutch . would be a 208 tcase unless newer and then a 241 and thats a keeper .
It at least looks like it was originally a manual, based on the formed hole in the trans tunnel, but the rear of the hole looks like someone literally just got in there with a pair of pliers was ripped the hole open bigger...that's why I was thinking the transfer case was a swap in. Of course, until I look at the RPOs and numbers on the parts themselves, I won't really know. But hey...even if it is a 208, then worst case scenario, I have a spare for the case in the K5.
With the rear end being a 14B SF, and a very hacked in exhaust system, I'm betting that the truck is a light duty 3/4 ton, with a 350 originally in the engine bay...so again, until I run the numbers, I can't even be sure that it's an '85 454 either.

Definitely looks like a towing engine.
It has the old style smooth valve covers with the rounded top...I doubt it's an L19 either, lol. Much more likely to be an earlier motor...probably out of a motorhome or something. Still feels stronger than the 350 was though, and that's good enough for me for now.
