I have an 88 burb with the drivers a/c and passenger alternator. I'm seriously considering changing the front drive accessories to a 96ish vortec serpentine system, which I have complete in the garage.
From what I've read, I need to use a water pump from a 90-95 Silverado and the rest should bolt up. Obviously the a/c lines and the alt wires would need adapted, any thing else I need to be aware of?

89 to 91 Blazer or Subs crew cab and like you say to 95. Need to have reverse flow water pump and reverse flow fan also or go electric fans.

I swapped a serpentine setup from a 1992 Camaro onto my 1988 V10 Suburban.

Here it is pictured with the AC compressor from the Camaro.

That compressor was no good. It had been open for several years. The clutch was fine though. So I swapped that clutch onto my factory AC compressor. That gave me a serpentine pulley instead of a v-belt pulley. I then gently bent the hard AC lines by hand, and made the AC compressor from the driver's side move over to the passenger's side.

Sorry about the quality of the pictures. I could take some newer ones if you want to see anything.
