iim putting a vortec motor in my 82 k5 diesel blazer and i do not have the time to put all the injection onit right now. i bought a carb intake for it ect i need to know if i need to do anything to my distributer like a brass gear because of the roller cam thanks in advance for the help :D

vortec heads need a vortec-type intake, no? (thought about going vortec TBI when i rebuilt my engine a couple months ago)

No, I ran a carberated vortec for a while, just drop in an "older" hei. The gm roller cams aren't made of billet like the aftermarket mechanical rollers are.

i bought A 98 vortec motor complete 43000 miles with everything i bought a edelbrock intake # 2116 it runs a carb and one of the rev rotation edelbrock water pumps then i installed the 93-95 serpentine brackets and pulleys (sold the vortec serp stuff and fuel injection and l460e trans for what i paid for everything) :D then that financed the other parts. ill try to get pics up
