A vortec 350 is better than anything with 305 parts on it.

ok now what makes a vortech 350 so much better i still have the stock heads on my truck i just wanted to see if that what a vortech 350 was

As far as stock heads go the vortecs flow better because of their combustion chamber shape. You asked about 305 heads on a 350 compared to 350 vortec heads. I personally do not see the point in putting smaller 305 heads on anything. I do not have any factual evidence to point one way or the other it is just my opinion.

Vortec engines aren't much special over previous small blocks. Roller cam is about the only major difference short of the heads.

The heads and injection are where it's at. High velocity, better combustion chamber than older heads. The injection itself is not really anything special, but allows better power with great driveability.
