Thats funny! ha ha Intimidated.... sorry! It would take more than a chevy truck to Intimidate me. The only thing worse is the pavement pounder Superduty guys with their 30" of lift and chrome diff covers and the Dodge boys with all their ram logo tail light lenses and stickers. LOL I hate a [censored] ford! I will have to say if I ever bought one of the big 3 trucks it would be a Chevy. But personally.... I dont need something the size of a house to go wheelin. :)

IFS... I did not know they still made Chevy's with solid axles? I thought the last year was 88? Am I correct... ? The last solid axle toy was 85. So both dumb ass truck makers went to IFS around the same time. What the hell were they thinking!

Correct.... To go with my solid axle I went with a Dana 44 out of a Jeep. I had great pleasure knowing that I took a jeep off the road to build up my truck! LOL

So when are we going to quit talking... and go run some rocks! I will put down anytime you want to! If your local that is! IM in AZ!

Sorry about all the crap some of those people gave you! When people go out and spend 20+ thousand on a truck they get kinda defensive when somebody calls it a POS. We all have our own opinions.... I jus tthink that Full size vehicles are too big and have a bad reliabliity record. Now Im sure I am gonna get a bunch of [censored] about the reliability statement... but thats ok... because Its my opinion.

I would be pissed too if I just spent 20k on a POS and then still had to spend more $$ to mod. it so I could wheel :^)~

Lets compare current modles of Chevy and Tacaom. I will gaurantee that a Tacoma TRD would put a Chevy Z71 to shame out on the trail. Your comparing a "OLD" solid axle chevy to a new and better Tacoma. Compare current model years and lets see what happens! LOL

There arn't ANY new trucks I would want to have out on the trail.

I have friends that have toys that they and all my friends love. But most of them stop and get in my truck (the one on the main page that is on fire) when we get to where I think the trail is just starting. I could go on and I am sure you could too but to what end... As long as we are all having fun that is what 4x'n is all about.

If you are ever down in So Cal you should join us on one of our runs.

Im thinkin your just angry at the world cuz you spent $20k+ on a rig that my 20yr old "house"(as you would put it) can keep up with on the trail any day.

This is kinda weird all this toy stuff.
Today I was chuckar hunting in a place we call Afganistan.

Anyhow I came up on a toy truck backing off a steep loose nasty rocky hill. I waved at the guy as I went by and dropped the K5 in low range and climbed right up Turning and burning and throwing rocks every where making sure he got the full enjoyment of hearing my 350 roar. After I got up And went further up the mountain I watched the guy try the hill a couple more times with out sucess. he finally went back down leaving the mountain and all the chuckar to me.

I'm glad I dont own a toyota. I wish all the other hunters did. It would sure leave more game for me.

Yogiaz, this is a K-5 site. There is no such thing as a current model K-5 and I think almost everyone on this site agrees that GM made a huge mistake when they killed it off, went to IFS and metal tops. Please don't confuse us with current model GM enthusiasts. Also, quite a few of us here own more that one brand of truck and don't hate Toyota's.

i agree. i hate fords but that is about it. I laugh at heeps cuz they have chevy everything except grill and tub. the 'Yota thing is silly. for the 20k you spend on a taco, you could build a super sick K5. while some people enjoy spending 20-35k on a new truck, just to spend more to make it trail ready, we do not. if they wanna talk smack, fine. when it comes down to it, everyone has a fave truck and will defend it honor. I have wheeled with stout 'yotas and honestly i was to one pulling them out of the holes in hollister and the dunes @ oceano. cuz the other 'yotas did not the the power to yank them out. sure i might get body damage on a tighter trail, but every truck has its high points. K5 ppl just do not see the "other sides" cuz we love OUR trucks and vice-versa for the 'yota ppl. sorry for the novel...i will be signing 1st print editions for x-mas presents

It's pretty much because the great majority of our members just don't vote very much if at all. If we could just get each member to vote two or three times per month, we'd have over ten thousand votes every month. I'd be willing to bet that less than 5 percent of our membership has voted this month.
