vss style 241 behind my 700r4. how would my speedo work?

Question stated. now story!

Destroyed my shift fork or something, now i dont have 4hi in my 208.
I could put another 208 in but i have a 241 with the lower ratio so i want to run that. but it has vss and no spot for a speedo cable. =/ what to do.. what to do.

Could go without a speedo... Highway patrol doesnt like that very much at all, but it got me out of a speeding ticket once. That was back in the day when I was driving the ****iest 79 k10 on the planet.

how close are the mechanical and electric speedo 241s? I got two mechanical speedo 241s here at the house.

There may be an adaptor to go on the t-case that the old speedo cable hooks onto that converts the signal into something for the cable. This exists for other vehicles.

However most on here have just gotten a 90-91 dash cluster and used that.

Wasn't there a year of the 241 that still had mechanical speedo? (1989?) Maybe whatever sender that used can be obtained and swapped in to yours.

89 has a mechanical speedo with a standard speedo cable going into the t-case and a gear setup similar to older GM's. No electrical anything.

Let me see if I can find the thread I started a while back. I switched from a mechanical speedo to an electric speedo recently and it is easy to do once you have all the pieces required.
