Well yesterday I came to a conclusion that I am not comfortable wheeling my k5 blazer. Last year was the first time I drove the blazer offroad, and I thought it would be something I could get use to it. Well I have decided that I wont. I had a s10 I wheeled for 6 years and loved it. I think its best that if I am going to wheel, its going to be a smaller vehicle besides the blazer. Its a great vehicle and very dependable. I have enjoyed working onit and building it up, but I am going to sell it and buy a smaller truck to wheel. I will post it in the " for sale " section plus I will be putting it up on ebay and craigslist. If anyone is interested in it. check it out.

Oh,
I will "Not" be selling my stepside:D

I think you're making a bad decision, but then, you haven't really said WHAT the issue is... Too wide? Can't see the corners?

X2

I had and wheeled an S-dime as well as my K5 and although they are a bit different off road I never felt out of sorts wheelin the K5. In fact I always felt the K5 was a lot more stable (and capable :D)

Kinda depends on terrain and type of wheeling, also what he considers to be his form of wheeling.

Somethings are just not meant for a fullsize truck and some people aren't either. I don't think I'd do some of the things with Big Ugly that 8 years ago I'd have done with it if I had owned it then. However I've also wheeled my Trackers and love how small they are, how they do certain things easier thanks to not having to consider "will it fit" or take hard lines as much, etc etc etc. However if I wanted to wheel with more than one person and a day or two's worth of gear then the Trackers are too small...

...listen to me...like I have the money to wheel anymore...

Dont get me wrong, I love my blazer, I am just not comfortable wheeling it cause I cant see where I am going. Annnd those who have met me know I am not tall so my ability seeing and judging distances are different in a wider vehicle. And no I will not sit on a pillow.
I just felt more at home in the seat of my s10 while I wheel. and I have come to that conclusion. So I will sell the blazer and buy another s10 and start a new build.

It sounds to me like you should take the Blazer axles, and other components, and build you an SAS S-10.

I am like others on the site, I prefer the feel of the K5 to my old S10 Blazer. I never had any problem with the little one, other than the vacuum setup, but it didn't feel as right as my K5 does. Yes I have to focus more on making sure I am not going to destroy it, but it also works in places that a stock S-10 is never going to go.

But, after having said that, I should point out that I am just shy of 6'4", so that makes a difference.

lol , yeah 6'4" is quite different than where I am. My s15 was built for alot of stuff but I could always fit where I was going and i could see the passenger side and over the front alot easier. anyways, i will build me another wheeler, just a smaller version.
