i would like to know if anyone is running one and mostly how much one runs.
i scored a 203 with adapter for my 400 for $75.00. i figured if i used the 3:1
203 with the 205 i could have a 4 speed tcase. i was checking their website but they had no info.

Greg72 bought one but it isn't installed in anything yet. I believe he paid right around a $1,000.00 for it like sled_dog said.

Toby (moneypit) is running one.

Whatcha need to know hoss? I've got some pics that haven't made it onto the site yet, tonight maybe.

Case mods to the 203 range box are neccessary for the 3:1 gears?

Yes they are. We do this on a core exchange basis or modify your case when it comes in. The 3:1 gearset isn't just a plug and play mod. ;)

That's cool Kyle, I didn't realize there was someone from WMS on CK5

What are your thoughts on 3:1 203 in front of a 205? Think there is a risk of breaking the intermediate shaft (between the 203/205)? Any guys you know running that setup, and what kind of feedback have you gotten? Toby hasn't any problems that I'm aware of, but he's the only one I know with this setup. Thanks for your time man!

Fred

I've got no quams about running that setup, it's what's going in my little blazer ;) We've got quite a few guys running that setup in what we would call above average rigs. Rockwells, hot motors, 44's, etc and anyone that know's the WMS standard for wheeling, they wheel HARD! We've had 0 failures with this setup.

The only feedback we've gotten is how much people dig it. Have the option of a 2, 3 or 6 to 1 is to nice an option. I've heard some people bitch about the price, but seriously, it's like the ultimate upgrade to your DCA or Doubler, and frankly, isn't all THAT expensive. If I can afford it, hell, anybody can :haha:

One thing to note guys, we do NOT do a 3:1 for the 10 spline 465 203. Other than that, we can do these all day long.

I've been on CK5 since it started, but I just recently went to "work" for WMS. I've been around the guys for a long damn time, just finally worked my way onto the payroll LOL Stay tuned to the WMS site guys. We've been building Jeeps for too long. Get ready to see us build a Blazer WMS style :D

Got link for thier website ??

Kyle - Wasn't ragging on the setup or anything, just saw the piece welded to the 203 box and was wondering. Awesome setup and makes a doubler a much better option now that there are three honest speeds to choose from.

Awesome new site, I'll definitely keep you guys in mind when I decide to tear farther into my drivetrain.

Don't sweat it bro. Yea, there are case mods, but we'll do em for you to save the grief.

Thanks for the props on the site. I've been bustin my tail trying to get it going. It get's more info every night LOL

So, the exact ratio of this setup is just 3:1? I thought it was like 3.1:1 or somewhere around there.

I round my numbers, kinda like us saying the 205 is 2:1, when it's really more like 1.96:1 or so ;)

 TARussell has a 10 spline set up that he got about 6 months ago. I do remember that Casey used Tom's original parts if that makes a difference.

Oh, congrats on the cool job Kyle. :thumb: I guess this means you wont be moving to my area any time soon. :rotfl:

The biggest reason is availability, or lack there of for the case to begin with. We like to have a case on hand when you order, so that we can get started, while yours is being shipped in.

Tell you what, you want to order a 3:1 range box, I'll personally donate my 10 spline case to the shop to see if they would do a set for you.

Bingo. Not having one in our hands makes it tricky to get started and draws the process of doing one out.

Thanks bro. This job don't suck, I can promise you that :D :haha:

Looks like the only travelling I'll be doing down to your neck of the woods will be to go wheelin. The job down there just never lined out. It would be a big priority, then gone, then back, etc so fast that I didn't know what was going on. Finally told em to just forget it.
