Walker Evans Barbary Coast Class 8 Truck

This was one of my favorite trucks back in the day. Walker Evans and The Ironman helped to solidify my involvement in truck raacing when i was younger. I have raced motorcycles since the late 80's and my first time in a race truck was in a class 4 Dodge. I've always wanted a Ramcharger like Walker had. (grey pre runner) Mark Newhan built and drives one now. I wish I had the scratch for him to build one and paint it like Walker's Barbary Coast sponsored days. I tried to get a set of the Goodyear GS-A race tires for my black prerunner but it was next to impossible to find 35s or 37's (the big tires of the day)

We used to go to his shop in Riverside and watch him test in the Santa Ana riverbed. We could not believe the technology in his trucks back then.
