Wanna put GM d44 knuckle and outers on Ford d44 axle housing

Does anyone know if I can use chevy flattops and outers on a ford d44 axle housing, I have to have a for type axle housing but want to still be 6 lug. any info?

The good thing about D44's between GM, Dodge and Ford is the fact the knuckle outers can easily be swapped in place of the others. I've done an older Ford open knuckled drum braked front D44 and converted with all GM parts but used Ford bearing hubs and rotors. Ford can use either the 1st or 2nd design parts from GM as long as the corresponding years of the designed parts fit one another.

So, to make a long explaination short, yes, the GM parts will work on the Ford axle. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

thanks, any idea what year ford axle to look for, wanna put 1975 chevy stuff on it.
