Blazer parts

Got a few things left, i have been parting it out for about 2 months so most of the really good stuff is gone.

Concentrating now on getting my chevelle done for the upcoming season.

What happened with the soft-top and the speaker brackets for the front 3.5 speakers? I am still looking for those brackets; someone outbid me on a pair on ebay and I wasn't around a computer last weekend to realize it. As for the top, its a future investment I'd like to make...but if you have it for the right price...

I'll have pics soon :D , I just have to finish some other drivetrain parts before I install that awesome soft top(not to mention that the delivery guy bent one of the tubes on it).

do you have any semi local junk yards you use?
i would rather spend time to recondition than to replace.

Sounds like an awesome buildup Joe, I have an old Vette so I can appreciate what your going through.....I started out with a L72, had a bunch of work done to the block, but they never pressure checked it before the work, so when I got to putting the block together, and installed in the car, my first run in ended up with steam coming out of the valve cover breathers, after about 3 minutes of running, after 5 minutes we shut it down to find water in the oil, ended up being a cracked block that ran across 3 cylinders on the top side right next to the camshaft bores. Unable to repair it, what a waste, a 4 bolt 427 block, yeh you know they didnt make many of those. Oh well, got a 327 in it now that I'm really happy with.

Yeah, gotta be carefull with these things. I Already miss my blazer but i have SAVED so much money since getting a new truck. My Blazer was My DD and i had to run premium in it. Figure i was getting around 5mpg between the 383ci,5.13 gears and the 37" swampers . i travel 20 miles eachway to work so figure out that gas bill ontop of the maintenance that a truck like this calls for.
I will build anouther one someday--- Or maybe i will just do a strait axle conversion on my 05 colorado....lol
