i hate to tell you Jake, but the first dyna series Harley came out in '91. 1991 all black FXDB to be exact. you sure that yours isn't an FXR? i'm not rying to be an ass either.....what's the alphabet soup on your bike.....FXSB, FXWG.....FXR? so you can correct your thread title. is yours an '86 or a '96?

cool........i'm actually thinking on building a 106" shovel and dropping it in a stock FXR frame with a 6 speed.......be just like a 454 with a 4L80E behind it :D.

Hey shovel, maybe he changed his title so I don't know what your refering to in your message but I think this is what he is selling correct? and here is a pic of the first one out a 1977 model. :dunno: (older 60 hp motor but same line)

yup...was origionally listed as a Dyna......that's why i helped out. the pic you posted is a FXS, first year for the Low Rider.

Harley did make a 4 speed LR in 1986, but it was an Evo motor. last year for the rigid mount 4 speed frame too. the last shovel powerd 4 speed was 1984.

an FXRS is the Low ider sport edition. he has one that looks similar to this.

Shovels, hell yeah!!!

Loud, rude, obnoxious...love 'em!

Hey Shovel, thanks for clearing that up I was wondering, I'm wanting to get a bike after 10 years off of them and thought this would be a good way to pick one up without going through a bank. What do you like for a crusier kinda ride?

(hmm maybe I don't know you well enough, should I still call you Mr. Bill lol)

the best chassis Harley ever made was the FXR. Jake's bike (if he ever gets pics up :D) would be a fantastic cruiser. smooth as silk on the road and a dead solid platform to build into anything from a canyon carver to a street/strip sled.......i've never owned one but i spent lots of time on the hurricane deck of my brothers bike........i want an FXR bad, but i have too many things going on right now.

presently my shovel is dressed like an FLH and my '84 softail wasn't built for long distance.

badass bike Bill :waytogo::waytogo::waytogo:

throw a 5 speed with a kicker gear set in the tranny and go to town. Love the mag too, don't see many these days.

i can't open your Facebag link either.....PM me a better link and i'll try to put them up......try to copy and paste a pic from Facemask
