(WANTED) 205 t-case parts
I have aquired a 205 t-case but I am missing the shifter, Shifter bolt, shifter knob, and the boot and cover for inside the truck...

can anybody help..

What year of 'case and truck?

I ask because there are a few different variations of bolts, shifters and knobs. I have a few of each so I need to know what year.

I did'nt even think to post that...

guess that's why your called "captain obvious"

It came out of a early chevy 70's pickup truck behind a turbo 350

Thanks for the reply

I'm pretty sure I have all that stuff to fit in that era/year of truck. Will have to wait til tomorrow to check.

The Capt. Obvious name came to me in a sarcastic manner. Long story short, when you try to correct others in a manner deemed sarcastic, the nicknames will come.

thanks man I appreciate it...

tell me is there supposed to be a spacer/bushing that goes between the bolt and the shift handle on the t case itself...

I was looking at other t-case pictures and it looks like there is a spacer or bushing seperating the bolt and shifter from the t-case...

I guess it is so you can tighten the bolt and still have play so it shifts

I hope I explained that clear

The 205 shifters i've seen have a special shouldered bolt so that the bolt tightens but still has "side" clearance so the shifter can move.

thanks so much..

so what I am seeing in the pictures is a shouldered bolt and not a spacer or bushing...

great nice to know, now I know I need to add a shouldered bolt to my list..

Thanks for the reply

where you located??

How much you think to ship to NC...27520

what's the condition...got any pics...

I'm in Greeneville TN 37743 and that price included shipping. It will need some clean up and probably a fresh coat of paint.Let me see if I have any pics on my computer.

I just went to your web site...

The picture of the tuck on your home page...not sure if it is a cucv or a k-5 but I liked the look of the cage...

do you fabricate cages??

No,I wish. The only thing I'm good at is takin stuff apart and it's a CUCV.Here's a pic,it will not be this exact one as it's an old pic,but this is identical to what I'll be sending.

what about the boot and the plastic case...

who did your cage??

I might have a boot,I'll have to check and the 205's didnt have a plastic case, just a boot with a metal trim ring.A local guy that work's on circle track cars done mine, but I know a guy in NC that would do ya a good job.

10-4 let me know on the boot

I bought a kit from a co. out your way (I think) essentially off road but i don't like the way it does not tie into the frame and in the back...it is right up against the gas filler neck..

I'll check it in the morning. If you click the link in my sig for blazer pics there should be some better ones of the cage and how he tied it in.

cool...

I was just looking at your pics in photo bucket but thats a pain in the ass with all the adds popping up

Just so we're on the same page here, when you mention the plastic case, I think you may be referring to the little box that covers the shifter on the 208 cases.

205's don't use such plastic boxes or cases. Just a rubber boot with a metal ring/plate around it to hold it to the floor.
