I need a project for when I get back to the states, and I'd love to have another one of these trucks. I have a few requirements though.

The 4l80e auto trans is one. I think this means 89-91 only. Or maybe it's '91 only? I don't remember. Plus, I like the 4 headlight arrangement that the 89-91 trucks have. That's another must have. Crew-cab, SRW. And a 100% rust free truck is absolutely a must. I don't want to deal with rust at all. Paint quality or color isn't a concern so much. I just don't want to deal with rust repair or body work. At all. A nice, un-molested, un-modified, (small lift ok) stock condition grandpa truck would be a perfect starting point. Clean interior, factory power windows/locks/carpet, factory A/C etc. Basically a clean Silverado V30. I would consider a dually if it were an exceptional one.

Something similar to this one I found on autotrader-

Waaaaay over priced, but that should give a rough idea. If I could get a truck like that without the lift and tires, it would be perfect. I'd be willing to pay a finders fee for the right truck. Location I'm not to worried about...California would be the easiest at the moment, as I have familly out there that could handle the transaction for me. East coast is a possiblity as well, I have friends at Ft Stewart. Hard to find a rust free east coast truck though! :haha:

I found your rig while searching around a bit. Unfortunately, it's a little rougher than I want to start with. Perhaps if it were a Silverado and a couple ears newer. ;)

Keep your eyes open for me though, like I said, I'm willing to pay a finders fee for the right truck. :)

Yep, square body style CC with a 4L80E is a '91 only proposition. Good luck in the hunt.

My buddy is trying to get me to sell my 89' CC K30 to fund my K5 build. I say HELL NO to that. Crew Cabs are just bad ass rigs.

If I had to choose between one or the other, I'd get rid of the K5 and keep the K30 any day.

Good luck with your hunt. You are looking for a hen's tooth. I looked for over a year before I found my '91 CC. My truck is what you are looking for. I bought it from a CK5'er. I paid too much, but it was the exact truck I wanted in the color that I wanted too. Completely stock with 100,000 on the odometer.

I have the stock wheels & hubcaps for it.
