I'm looking for the duct that connects the air cleaner to the front core support. Heres a pic of what I need (not the air cleaner just the duct)

I have one I could send you, but it would easier to get one from a local junkyard. It would only be about $5.00. It would cost more for me to send you one.

They are not that easy to find in ohio! I have tried 4 yards with no luck. They do seem to have the newer style that attaches to the inner right fender though?

1987 is what I have with TBI. I bought the correct air cleaner for it and it came with a "short" duct that was suppose to have some sort of canister inline to the core support but I didnt get the canister? I looked at GM parts catalog today and there is a long duct that was available as well so thats what im looking for. The setup in the picture is from a 90 suburban I think?

sounds like thay gave you 88-up tube with middle can defuser thingy.

i might have one. glad we got this pin pointed. will help.

sorry man checked the whole chevy line up in the junk yard. nothin but 88-up style left . the older stuff all striped. :doah:

I know its still available from GM I checked today at my dealer but its about $35.00 new. Kinda looking for a cheaper used one or cheaper new??

If you can get it locally new for $35 I would get it, it will cost you close to that between the price and shipping and you are still getting old plastic.
I think it's a no brainer.
Steel parts I look at different but plastic... NEW for me.
