Hi,

I'm looking for a fiberglass section to repair my double all hardtop over the passenger seat. The picture shows about how much I need. I only need the outer layer as I figure I can patch a section in easier than creating it all from scratch.

I figured someone might have a trashed top they would be willing to cut a section out of and sell to me. if so, I'm in northern california and will pay freight plus whatever you want to sell the section for.

I would think it would be easier to buy a section and paint it. A junkyard wouldnt want too much I would think, and you wouldnt have to paint it.

Yea, it's hard to find these things in junk yards around here. They are too popular. I either have to recreate the missing section from scratch, or find someone who has a trashed top they'll sell me part of so I dont have to buy a whole one.

Just cut a board that matches the contours to the side you have, then switch it around it to the other side, and now you have a template.

Yea, that might work actually. I guess if I can't find any sellers pretty soon, that'll be the plan. Thanks for the idea!

wow, and up here, you can't give them away.

Really? I'm happy to accept giveaway's if anyone has 'em.

Well I just cut up a complete top and took it to the Landfill :(
But if you are anywhere close, the PNP in Rocklin, CA has a 73 with the top on it, you might get it all for really cheap.
It's in good shape.

Are the 73's the single wall? Even if it is, it might be worth a look up there to see if there are any doubles around. Thanks for the tip.

My 73 was double and I think this one was double.
could be a 74 I am not sure I din't look at the markings but it's the full convertible.
