WANTED: Slider window piece needed for 1989

I have searched high and low for the fiberglass topper window and cant seem to get anywhere. I have a 1989 and I need a portion of the passenger side topper glass. It is a 3 piece sliding window set. The sliding window is fine and so is the deflector window but the rear stationary glass portion is broken. It is a 3 piece unit but all i can seem to find is the entire set for both sides at $400 with the seals and all. It is a dark factory tint and I would like to locate or buy just the back stationary piece for a resonable price. Please let me know of anyone is willing to sell me this piece or where I can go to purchase this piece by itself. I would be willing to buy the whole set if necessary but really only need the stationary rear piece. I will check back here for responses. Thank you in advance, this site has helped me locate almost everything and I hope the trend continues.

I had some trouble finding a new window for my 89' also. I was able to get one through a local body shop. They called thier supplier who had some hiding out in a storage. If you would like, pm me and I could ask him if they happen to have another
one.

It doesn't have to be from an 89 topper. Any topper with the sliding window will work since they're all the same.

metrodps has a parts book with pictures and numbers. He posted the topper page some where but I can't search it. I have to pop for the membership when I have some money. You might can get just the glass from a place that does wind shields. I have not seen metro on his thing says last on like march 10.

metrodps seems to be able to find these weird parts new and old. If all eles fails just fiber glass the back parts over have a custem topper.

First time pulling glass, worked out nice. Pulled the "keeper", then the whole window assembly. Next, removed the center stile. To get the glass out, I slid the slider all the way open, then removed the felt. Slid the window to center and spread the frame so my wife could remove the slider glass. Slid the "fixed" window to center and did the same. Ta Da, now I have to figure out how to package and ship it to you.

Clean and shiny!

Another option is to have a plastic piece fabbed up. We have a place called TAP plastics in these parts. You can take down a matching piece from the other side and they can make a matching plastic piece for pretty cheap. I have the same sliders and my problem is one of the plastic locks that keep the window locked from the inside broke off.

They are the same as a pickup trucks. I got one from HELP at a parts store $9 works great
