So my old truck,the big blue ox,a 1980 big block Suburban burnt down,I filed an insurance claim and I'm getting a few thousand bucks out of it, fortunately for me,my cousin is selling his suburban,it's a 1990 suburban with a 6.2L Detroit diesel engine with 8 lug axles and a Th400 transmission.
He had this truck in highschool and this truck was what pushed me towards squarebody suburbans growing up,he's selling it to me for pretty cheap and it's got a pretty clean interior,the glow plugs are wired to a switch and it's got massive ass tires that are pretty much new,I'm gonna be picking it up in a few days,as soon as I can,It has a lack of acceleration and might be a head gasket or something, not sure yet but I'm probably gonna have the motor rebuilt,I'll keep everyone updated

Yeah the engine isn't salvageable, it would be way to much to rebuild it so I'm just claiming insurance and using that money towards the diesel
