I just upgraded from Mile Marker hubs to Warn premiums on my 10 bolt. With the washer and snap ring on the axle just outside of the wheel bearing locknut, I can not get the clearance to install the hubs. The hubs will not go in far enough to install the large snap ring that holds the hub body in. I did put new wheel bearings in at the same time. I'm pretty sure the races are seated, and the bearings are adjusted properly, but I'd like to find out if anyone else has had this problem before I tear it back down. The Warn instructions don't mention the washer and snap ring, but I thought they were necessary to locate the axle in the right spot. The outside snap ring that the instructions say is optional will fit if I leave the washer and snap ring off the inside.

You got instructions? I just got mine no instructions so I am subscribed!

I have seen this before and you need to leave the washer/snap ring off (near the wheel bearings) then that will allow the hub body to be installed along with the round wire ring that holds it in and then you can install the small snap ring on the stub axle outboard of the hub body near the end of the stub axle.

I was hoping I could leave it that way. I've been driving it, but haven't locked the hubs or put it in 4wd. I think that will change tomorrow if the forcast holds true.:eek1:

Use a pry bar placed in the joint at the inner/outer axle to push the outer axle out a little. Always have to do this to make mine fit properly. May take 2 ppl but should solve the problem.

Won't solve the problem he was having. He was able to install the washer/clip but COULD NOT install the hub body after that. He has it all covered now anyways.
