I cant keep the spiral clip that holds the spring and sproket in place, it keeps kicking em out, i put in another and it does the same thing. Any suggestions on the problem causing it and how to fix it. Can you buy new clips, all the ones ive used have come from other people.

i dont have one right now, but when you pull the cover off its the spiral circle clip that goes on to hold the spring and sprocket in place that moves back and forth when you lock the hubs.

If thats what it is I don't know. Mine didn't have one. It came with 2 but no place on shaft to put em. Worked fine for over a year now. Wish I could help you out more.

Thats fine man, hopefully someone on here will know something, i cant find anything, need to have it ready by the weekend i hope

One of mine broke over three years ago. When you take the dial cap off the spring and gear pop out right? I have had no issues running my hub without it. All it really does it keep that gear from popping out when you put it together. You should be fine.

without that clip? if you dont have that clip in the spring and gear wont slide back to engage when you lock the hubs, cuz everytime mine his spit that clip it disengages

Yes it will. The dial forces that gear into the gear on the hub body, and the spring pushes it back out when you unlock the hub. I will look for a pic to make sure we are talking about the same thing.

You are talking about the clip that hold this gear in right?

If thats the ring you are speaking of you should be fine. I dont have them either, and mine have been working that way for years they are just a little harder to put together because it wants to fall out when you are putting the cap on.

yea we talking bout the same thing, i just dont understand, cuz when my spring comes out, the hubs come unlocked, i dunno, im appreciating the help though

Put the spring and the gear into the hub and align the teeth like its locked. Hold that there with one hand and then put cap on while keeping it from popping apart. Once its together it should be fine and operate normally.
