i gotta put some new grease in my warn hubs. any advise?

Inspect and dont lose the O ring gasket. I just had my front end regreased and bearings replaced, shop said it was missing pass. side O ring for my Warn Hubs. I called warn and they sent me 2 O rings for free. I thought that was nice of them.
When you take them apart to greese all the components lay them on the groud in order so you can put them all back together without missing parts when you are done. There is only like 6 or 7 parts in there so not to hard id say.

Don't over grease it. A little bit of good quality grease in a locking hub will go a long way. Overgreasing them can cause them to not want to lock and unlock properly.

I think what he's saying is not to "pack" it with grease like a wheel bearing. Go buy a good quality spray can of white lithium grease and you'll be set. It probably wouldn't hurt to apply a very small, even amount of silicone to your o-ring gasket. Just wipe off any excess. That should do ya!

ok i dont know if i am going to get to it this weekend or not. its gonna rain next week and my windows wont roll up to easy so i am going to fix that first.

Definitly don't pack them like wheel bearings. If you are having problems with them right now I would pull them out and brake cleaner them out and get them clean.
I use boat trailer wheel bearing grease in my hubs. It is water resistent and wont contaminate as fast if you do mud or water crossings. I apply a modest amount of grease to any part that moves in the operation of locking and unlocking. I also apply a modest coat on the splined piece inside the hub and also the hubs splined outside body so it is easier to get out next time.
Alot of grease is a bad thing in locking hubs.
If you are doing water or mud then make sure your orings are in good shape and if not replace them. Water and mud will contaminate a hub and make it much more prone to not working.
