Okay, I bought an 82 Silverado. It cam with a new Transformer Grill Guard and Warn M8274-50 Winch. Does anyone know anything about this winch? Why does it cost so much and does anybody want it?

The model number may be wrong but it is similar to what I typed. Ive seen it advertised for close to 1200 dollars, What gives?

This is an 8000 pound winch made by Warn. The original model was an 8274, but the newer ones have the -50 after it. It is also the fastest winch on the market!

From what I hear, this is a very good and dependable winch!

yup, 8274, my favorite of all times. the -50 signifies the 50th anniversary of either warn or the 8274 (probably warn). they are fast and powerful, and since they have so much cable, they can be doubled to have a 16000 lb load and since they are so fast, the line speed is close to the
speed of a bigger winch not doubled.

how much you want??? i can come pick it up!!!! hehe

Anybody want it? I'll post some pics on my site as soon as I can. I hate to have something like this and not use it when someone else could actually use it. I dont really wheel much and it would go to waste on my truck.

I was thinking 800 for the grill guard and winch. The winch is like brand new. I'll take some pics this weekend and set it up on my website this week end.

The M8274 is a really good winch; I'm sure you will make somebody happy if you decide to sell it.

Never put a stupid move passed a stupid person.

If the first two back out let me know I am in the market for an 8274. I am also in GA. The "74" is for M8200's that were built in 1974 and later, they made some major mods that year. If it is one of the newer ones with the 4.6 HP motor I am very intrested.

Let me know if anyone is interested. I would really like to sell it to someone who will use it.
