A co-worker of mine says he's seen a hand tool that fits into the Warn hubs to use for locking and unlocking them. Anyone ever seen one of these and if so, who sells them?

I'm going to 'train' my little boy on the pleasures of getting out and adjusting 'our' new Warn hubs. Besides getting splatter with cow crap they can get hot and I don't want to discourage him from wanting to participate ;-)

Make one from a piece of PVC notched to fit the hub, and put a T handle on it.

Or get an appropriately sized PVC T and notch the end ... two minutes with a Dremel or a die grinder, and voila!

MudHog,

My buddy found them for me and gave me a link;

But, like DREMU says, I'm going to knotch a PVC 'T' and see how that works. It looks like a 2" 'T' might work. I haven't measured it yet. The one at the link about are molded to fit but at $10.95 plus shipping I can buy a lot of PVC 'T's ;-)

As I recall it's a bit smaller, but it depends on your hubs ... I have Warn Premiums on my trail rig, and Warn cheapos on at least one other (huh, wonder what's on my CUCV? :thinking: )

Anyway, the different hubs required different PVC ... but yeah, for ten bucks, it should come with ... well, this ain't the PigPen, so let's just say that's expensive :haha:

Yep, you guys are right again! I tried a 1-1/4" 'T' and it was to large and a 1" is almost to small but will probably work.

Oh yeah, I have the Warn Supreme hubs
