warn tabor 12k winch..anybody have one? how you like?

Pretty sure that has no association with Warn. Looks like a chinese POS to me. But lets see what others say.....

Warn puts their name on them, but not their warranty. Considering that you will end up replacing it with another one mights as well pony up and just get a "real" warn from the get go. I've seen a couple burn out down here.

That is the same as the Chicago Electric Company type winchs that are sold thru Harbor Freight and the same ones Mile Marker slaps their name on it. For that price I would pass. IF it were couple hundred maybe, but not that price.

The tabor and mm winches are chineese made for sure. Warn is your best pick hands down. BUT if yor like some of us who are broke and on a budget the off brands are ok, not the best but they work. you can get the same design and build off brand winch a lot cheaper if you look on ebay. I bought a 12k with the name vortex on it, it is cheap but it works i think i give around $350 for it.

my sentiments exactly. for the casual wheeler, they work fine. I ran a el cheapo Chicago Electric winch on my TJ for a couple years and it never let me down, I only used it twice tho and neither time was for myself

I have had a couple friends with milemarkers and I like them. I relied on them alot until I bought a used warn 10000
