Hey everyone.

I've got a line on a Warn winch bumper for our trucks.

I've got a '79 K20 that needs a winch on the front and this bumper will probably be the easiest option, most likely the cheapest (bumper will be free or close to it).

Has no brackets to mount it. I feel like this will give me the opportunity to add some beef when mounting it but I wanted to see what the factory bumper brackets looked like.

I'm going to assume that the Warn bumper would use some beefier brackets than stamped pieces than come with the factory bumper.

TIA!

I should be home in an hour or so and will take some. my bumper is dismounted and awaiting a project. pics will be easy to get

Last week I found this Warn bumper locally. Owner does not know what it came off. I took it regardless.
Anyone know if the mounting holes were the same for 70-80's GM, Ford and Dodge? ….or does this look like a GM mounting hole orientation? I see in the above post three mounting holes on the bracket. Any extra bracing recommended for these bumpers?

I think the bumper I ended up getting is a Hickey or some other brand. Its setup a little bit differently, doesn't have the "W" stamped into it and it doesn't have a plate in the bottom to mount a winch, feet forward mounting only.

Those holes look a little small for '73-'80 frame horns.

I dont know the exact size but I think the bolt holes in the frame rails near the horns on the '73-'80 are 9/16" or so (the ones in front of the front spring hangers).

I can't speak on the '81-'87.

The hole placement looks about right though.

The warn bumpers have a W stamped in the middle of the face of the bumper, I just dug mine out about an hour ago to post up for sale. I beefed up the mounting brackets on mine and added a small skid plate.
