Warn winch ID help please

I found a winch on craigslist for a descent price. It looks like an 8724. The ad says its model number CM5 with a 10,000 lb rating. I can't find any info using that model number. Can somebody chime in and confirm what this is?

Looks like both of my 8274's. Never heard of the cm5 either.

Could be a Bellvue (Bellview?) design. There's a whole family of 8274-like winches, some with the Warn name. I forget the details ... one's the model 5687 or somesuch, like the 8274 but doesn't power out, only manual spools, something like that.

I'd go look at the thing and decide from there.

I remember the 8274 being based on a Bellevue design also. Couldn't find any confirmation of that though. It does look just like mine though. They are rated @ 8k but that is widely discredited as being under rated.

Thanks guys. I am aware of the Bellvue winches and what to look for on them. They are fairly easy to tell from the 8274's. The external brake is different as well as the gear case and clutch engagement mechanism. If you look at those two side by side they are very different. I just didn't want to drive an hour to go look at this one if someone had reason to believe it wasn't an 8274.
