Anyone know if all the wonch motors in the Warn line of winches has been upgraded?
Or is the 12000 motor the same as it always has been?

Thanks
Ken H.

I'm guessing....but don't the "new" style motors have 'HS' on the part #? Plus the HP rating is listed higher...

I think that most of their 8K lb and up winches got the new 4.5 HP motor. There's probably a contact link on their web site at www.warn.com where you could ask them for sure. (Or maybe Igor will see this thread. He's lucky enough to actually WORK at Warn!)

I've found that Warn's tech support folks are very helpful. The new motors are made by Bosch, so there may be an identifying label somewhere on the motor itself.
